    Responsibilities

    As a Key Account Manager working remotely you will:

    • Enhance our company reputation for quality service to customers and increases sales volume by making visits to customers' facilities
    • Support the activities of the Regional Sales Manager to locate and develop new dealers and serve as the communication link between the Project Managers and the Company’s dealer network
    • Work with the Marketing Department to target accounts and execute activities according to the Marketing plan
    • Work with the team to maintain external sales channels
    • Plan and coordinate integration of industrial precision grinding machinery into manufacturing process of industrial establishment
    • Call on a uniquely defined customer base, make sales presentations, generate proposals, quotes and follow through on sales orders
    • Produce sales and profits for the company by marketing specific product lines and applications
    • Promote customer confidence in United Grinding and expedite the closing of sales orders by producing technically correct, competitive quotes and proposals
    • Ensure customer satisfaction with scheduled delivery of machines and service by monitoring progress of project and finalizing details of sales contracts
    • Work with other Company specialists to schedule installations, warranty and paid service calls, runoffs and customer training
    • Prepare reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts
    • Participate in annual meetings with vendors
    • Maintain good working relationships with dealers, suppliers, customers, and other departments

    Qualifications

    To be considered for this role you must:

    • Have a bachelor's degree or a minimum of ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Have advanced knowledge of CNC grinding machine processes
    • Possess the ability to use a variety of software applications with the ability to follow and demonstrate programming procedures for computer controlled machinery
    • Have the ability to conceptualize grinding processes on parts in a variety of industries
    • Be able to recognize the potential grinding solutions on specific grinding machine work pieces throughout the industries
    • Have advanced ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
    • Have the ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages and is proficient in statistical evaluations
    • Maintain a valid driver’s license is required issued by the state where the incumbent is permanently assigned

     

    Preferred Qualifications (Certificates, Training, Licenses, and Experience):

    • Have the ability to conduct business in the German language
    • Pass all of the requirements to be classified as a Certified Machine Tool Sales Engineer

     

     

    Other (Supervisory Responsibilities, Physical Demands, Travel):

    • This position requires extensive overnight domestic and international travel – approximately 70%.
    • The position incumbent may have supervisory responsibilities
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
